  • Nick Sorensen of the Cleveland Browns Marries

The lifestyle of football heroes has never held any appeal to Danielle Berry, but Nick Sorensen of the Cleveland Browns not only tackled Berry's opposition to dating a professional football player, he also won her heart-- a feat which led to a walk down the aisle on February 27-- a date determined by the number proudly displayed on Sorensen's jersey.

According to the Washington Post, 120 friends and family members gathered at St. Aloysius Church to witness the bride-- dressed in a classic white, strapless gown and a lace-lined veil-- exchange vows with the man she first met at a Coldplay concert in October 2008. That chance encounter would bring about a proposal in October 2009.

After the I do's, the newlyweds and their guests convened at the Carnegie Institution for a post-nuptial fete featuring a nod to the 1940's, thanks to event planner Laura Weatherly of Engaging Affairs. As attendees sipped spirits served by bartenders from a speakeasy-style hot spot, the bride stepped out on to the dance floor in a pair of scarlet-soled, sparkling silver Christian Louboutins to sway to sounds of Jason Mraz's "You and I Both" during a first dance with her newly pronounced husband.
  • The 2010 Academy Awards: Top 5 Best Dressed

Which stars were the wardrobe winners at the 82nd annual Academy Awards? Here are the top frocks in Lovetripper's couture countdown:
    1) The Academy Awards presentation was Sandra Bullock's night to shine in more ways than one, as The Blind Side star strolled on stage in a metallic Marchesa masterpiece to receive her statuette. As the silhouette's puddle skirt pooled at her feet, the lights of the Kodak Theater played on the gown's gold beading and the facets of her Neil Lane jewelry.

    2) True to her name, Queen Latifah looked regal on the red carpet. The actress, who was nominated for an Oscar in 2003 for her role in Chicago, looked chic in a pale pink Badgley Mischka design.

    3) Few frocks could Eclipse Kristen Stewart's red carpet look. An indigo idyll by Monique Lhuillier, the somber shade of the gown's silk satin organza highlighted the diamonds on her H. Stern bracelet as she stood on stage in a pair of Bally shoes, US magazine reports.

    4) A toast to the champagne-hued creation worn by Demi Moore. Accented in jewelry by Van Cleef & Arpels, the perennial star was a vision in Versace, whose name was also on the heels which bore the beauty on stage.

    5) In a touching tribute to the talented actress who paved the way for her future on screen, a gardenia-- the same flower Hattie McDanniel chose to wear on the night she accepted an Academy Award for her role in Gone with The Wind-- was the crowning glory for a star whose creativity is in full bloom-- Mo'Nique. The comedienne slipped into a Tadashi Shoji silhouette in a sapphire shade for her special night.

    Honorable Mention

Her name might not have been called as an Oscar recipient this year, but Meryl Streep was definitely a winner in the style stakes in a design by Project Runway alum Chris March. The shimmer of a Swarovski clutch added an extra touch of elegance to the all-white ensemble.

  • New York Giants Star Aaron Ross' Wedding

Although accustomed to sprinting down a race track, Olympic gold medalist Sanya Richards took her time as she strolled down the aisle OF Hyde Park Baptist Church in Austin, Texas toward her groom, New York Giants cornerback Aaron Ross. Marking her 25th birthday on February 26, 2010, the athlete was also celebrating the birth of a new life as a wife to the man she met at the Texas Relays during their days at The University of Texas.

According to the New York Times, 500 family members and friends-- including Olympic gold medalist guest Carl Lewis-- rose in honor of the bride as she walked past in a Swarovski crystal-accented wedding dress designed with a sweetheart neckline and sweeping train. Peering out from behind the blusher of her veil, the bride could see the groom at the altar, dressed in a white Armani tuxedo.

Following the exchange of vows, the newlyweds honored the African tradition of jumping the broom before exiting the church for a reception held at the Four Seasons Austin, where the newlyweds sampled slices of four different wedding cakes, including a Jamaican rum cake and a tasty tribute to the football star's past and present-- a football helmet-shaped cake featuring both the UT Longhorns and New York Giants logos.

Millions of football fans who witnessed the couple's betrothal during a broadcast of the Giants/Redskins game in December 2007 can share the joy of the couple's special day when Platinum Weddings airs on WEtv.
